Terms of Service

Welcome to Robin. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our products, services, and websites (“Services”). By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
1. Introduction
These Terms apply to the Robin mobile and web application (“Application”), developed and provided by Magnifex AI, Inc. (“Service Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The Application is offered as a Freemium service.
Robin is an alarm clock whose alarms are dismissed by completing a mission — for example, photographing a target that is verified by a vision model. By design, Robin makes alarms harder to dismiss. You choose this friction on purpose. By downloading or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before use.
2. Not a safety or medical device
Robin is a consumer convenience app. It is not a medical device and is not guaranteed to wake you, ring on time, or function in every situation. Do not rely on Robin as the sole alarm for situations where failing to wake could cause harm (for example, operating machinery, critical shifts, or medical needs). Keep an independent backup alarm where waking is essential.
3. Use it safely
Some missions ask you to move around or photograph a target. Complete missions only when it is safe to do so. Do not use Robin while driving or in any situation where using your phone would be dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety and surroundings.
4. License and restrictions
You are not permitted to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Application or any part of it.
- Extract or attempt to obtain the source code, except as permitted by law.
- Translate or create derivative versions of the Application.
- Use or reproduce any trademarks, copyrights, or intellectual property belonging to the Service Provider.
- Attempt to circumvent mission verification, interfere with the Application’s operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
All related intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of the Service Provider.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos and other content you create to complete missions. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide mission verification and the app’s features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Service modifications and charges
The Service Provider strives to ensure that the Application is beneficial and efficient. However, the Service Provider reserves the right to modify or update the Application at any time, and to introduce charges for certain services. Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase made through your app store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are governed by the applicable app store’s terms. Any changes in pricing will be clearly communicated to users beforehand.
7. Data collection and security
The Application stores and processes personal data provided by you in order to deliver its services, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and access to the Application.
Important: Jailbreaking or rooting your device may compromise its security, expose it to malware or viruses, and cause the Application to malfunction. Such actions are strongly discouraged.
8. Third-party services
The Application uses third-party services, each governed by its own terms and conditions, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Services, and Expo. The Service Provider is not responsible for any issues or liabilities arising from these third-party services.
9. Internet connectivity
Some features of the Application require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) — for example, sending a mission photo to a vision model for verification. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible for limited functionality due to lack of connectivity, or any data charges incurred through your mobile network provider (including roaming fees). If you are not the bill payer for your device, you confirm that you have obtained permission from the bill payer before using the Application.
10. User responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your device charged and in working order.
- Ensuring compliance with your local data and usage policies.
- Maintaining an independent backup alarm where waking is essential.
The Service Provider is not liable for any loss of access or functionality resulting from device issues, low battery, or misconfiguration.
11. Disclaimers
Robin is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any alarm will reliably sound. Your use of the Application is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider does not accept liability for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from missed alarms, oversleeping, reliance on the Application’s functionality or information, or your use of (or inability to use) the Application.
13. Updates and termination
The Service Provider may periodically update the Application to improve performance or add new features. You agree to accept and install all available updates when offered, and acknowledge that the Application’s compatibility may change with your device’s operating system.
The Service Provider may discontinue the Application or terminate your access without prior notice. Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms will cease, and you must stop using and delete the Application from your device.
14. Changes to these terms
The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. You are encouraged to review this page periodically for any changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
